I had a dream...
it was AJ again. He was at my house and she came to pick him up. He didn't want to leave and he asked her for a little more time. She came in and yanked him by the ear, screaming and swearing at him... took him into my yard and relentlessly beat the tar out of him. I saw her slamming his head into the fencepost... I saw blood running down and I saw him, trying so hard to be a man yet deal with the pain... as I watched from the bathroom window on the third floor I only wanted to rescue him but could not because I didn't want him to know that I knew... his mother beats him... I could not let him know that I was aware of this weakness he had...
